WW1 Victory Parade?

These pictures come from family papers – I have no idea how it relates to use other than a family member may have worked at the factory. Update 14/10/18 – I am reliably informed that these pictures are taken outside the Thornycroft factory in Basingstoke.

Probably not long after armistice in November 1918 as the trees are leafless and the sentiments of the floats are quite triumphal! Whilst the armistice was signed in 1918 the war didn’t officially end until July 1919.

The original album containing these pictures is now held by the Hampshire Cultural Trust
